Prof. Dr. Serpil Ağcakaya
Prof. Dr. Serpil Ağcakaya completed her undergraduate studies in the Finance Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dokuz Eylül University. She obtained her master's degree in Economic Policy from Selçuk University's Social Sciences Institute and her Ph.D. from the Finance Program of Dokuz Eylül University's Social Sciences Institute. She began her academic career in 1992 at Selçuk University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economic Policy, where she earned her doctoral title with a thesis entitled "Consolidated Budget Deficits, Internal Financing Methods, and Macro-Economic Effects". Appointed as an Associate Professor in 2011 and as a Professor in 2017, she has been serving since 2007 as the Head of the Department of Budget and Financial Planning in the Public Finance Department at Süleyman Demirel University. She also runs the Department of Finance. The author has numerous books and articles on Public Finance, State Budget, Fiscal Sociology, Crises, and Blockchain Technology. She has held various positions such as Deputy Dean, Head of Department, and Deputy Head of Department. She is married and a mother of three children.
