Prof. Dr. Murat Koç
Prof. Dr. Murat KOÇ was born in Istanbul in 1969. He graduated from Haydarpaşa High School in 1985 and from the Military Academy in 1989. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the Law Faculty of Dicle University. In 1997, he also graduated with honors from the same university's Social Sciences Institute, earning the title of "Public Law Science Expert" with his thesis on "Turkey-Syria" relations. KOÇ, who has been a student, instructor, and observer in various educational units in Syria, Italy, Germany, England, and Azerbaijan abroad, has received training on Security and Strategy within the UN and NATO. He completed his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2012 with a thesis on "Job Satisfaction, Burnout, and Organizational Commitment," became an Associate Professor in Management and Strategy in 2017, and a Professor in 2022. Prof. Dr. Murat KOÇ teaches in the Undergraduate, Master's, and Doctoral Programs of Law, Business Administration, and International Relations at Çağ University. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Boards of TURAB, MESİAD, ADSİAD, ÇUGİDER. He is one of TRT's commentators on security issues and the founder of the REGIONAL SECURITY STUDIES RESEARCH AND APPLICATION CENTER, known as the Southern Security School (SSC), within Çağ University. KOÇ is married and has two children.
